Minimal boho nursery with herringbone removable wallpaper

Designer of this beautiful room is Ciara Self, Cooper Montgomery Self's mum. As she says:

I had always envisioned a very gender neutral nursery, and our favorite colors are black, white and neutrals. Our entire nursery was inspired by this wallpaper I found on Livettes Wallpaper. I am obsessed. When we found out the gender, we just went from there - trying to keep it super minimal but yet designed very well. My advice for readers would be pick a favorite piece for the room you cannot live without and design it around that.

We are more than humble and beyond excited to hear such wonderful words and I think that we can agree that this talented lady has an amazing taste in interiors. And not only that, she and her husband runs an exclusive wedding planning service for those couples who like to stray away from traditional and embrace the unconventional. If their style is speaking your language, make sure to check them out via bashcoevents.com!

If you look around the room, the largest details seem to be well known. For example, the IKEA Sinnerlig lamp and the Poang rocking chair as well as the Ekby shelves. However it's amazing to see how these interior pieces are elevated to the next level with the right decors and overall ambience of the room.

The wallpaper Ciara chose for this room is our Delicate Herringbone removable wallpaper in black & white. The material used in this room is traditional non woven wallpaper, and though it seems like a permanent option it will give you none of the headache when it is time to change the style of the room. It is removable in one piece! When you are ready to change things up a bit with some boho nursery wall art - definitely visit our Minimal Boho Kids Room wallpaper collection for your next interior project.

Minimal boho nursery interior with moroccan rug, white crib and leather ottoman

Given that there is a fine line between creating too minimalistic interior and letting the bohemian vibe overpower the desired result, there seems to be just the perfect ratio between these two interior styles here. Neutrals, black and white keeps the room light, airy and clean while rattan details and moroccan decor elements adds the needed boho-ness to the room.

White IKEA changing table with mud cloth design changing pad and cactus decor

Of course there must be cacti of some sort in any kind of boho inspired interior. We see clever cactus decors around the room, for example the rattan cactus hamper from Pottery Barn and these two cacti pictured above for the perfect shelfie moment. And these beautiful prints above the crib and changing table - made by Ciara herself. Minimalism at it's finest!

  • Hi, I was curious your hole centers and drawer pulls you used for the Ikea Hemnes dresser. Did you have to end up making your own holes to match the length of the drawer pulls? If so, how did you cover the holes that were already in the dresser?

    Thank you!
