Being a renter it is very hard to design the actual bedroom of my dreams, but focusing on theme and details allows me to get as close as possible. As the apartment has light woods and off white walls it is quite a good basis for creating my desired look, as I do love minimalism and a bit of scandi feel in my interior.
To liven up the room though there will be a carpet next to the bed and a self adhesive wallpaper, as I am not allowed to do anything permanent. Currently considering something geometric but soft to complement the botanical removable wallpaper. Two of the key components to change the ambiance. Third being the light fixtures and curtains - something soft and solid coloured, yet with texture. Adding a bit of extra fluff and texture with throw pillows or sheepskin rugs is also an option kept open, especially for those wintery evening snuggles.
As my fiance is not too much into pinks though, I'm adding some femininity with the details instead. For example a perfectly styled night stand full of precious details, such as my Chanel, fresh flowers (or greenery) and scented candles. A bit of blush, gold and white here and there and voila! Well thought accents are the ones that matter the most! Also, being an evening person who likes coziness, I've put my eye on this gorgeous night lamp! I've been in love with it for quite a while now, and I feel it will also add a bit of romance to the room. And as the main palette will still be quite neutral, the final look will not be too feminine for a man, but feminine enough to have the perfect compromise.
